One of Pakistan’s top models Zara Abid has passed away in PIA flight PK-8303 that crashed on Karachi’s Model Colony minutes before landing at Jinnah International Airport.
Earlier, there were rumours that she is survived and under treatment but now the Sindh Government has confirmed 97 deaths and two survivors and she is not one of them.
Tributes are being paid on social media to the "wonderful and hardworking" star.
Turkish actress Esra Bilgic also offered condolences to fans and family of model Zara Abid.
The "Dirilis:Ertugrul" star followed Zara on Instagram and left a heart-breaking comment.
“I'm sorry for being late to follow you back, Zara. All Pakistan and Zara's family, please accept my most sincere condolences on your loss today. Rest in Peace,” she wrote.
Zara Abid got her big break in the fashion industry posing for bigwigs, like Sana Safinaz and Generation.
Tall, dusky and often compared with the veteran model Iraj, Zara rose to fame in a very short span of time. She made her film debut in the movie Chaudhry, directed by Azeem Sajjad.
In January 2020, Abid received an award in the category of ‘Best Female Model’ at the 4th Hum Style Awards.
