A sessions court in Karachi on Thursday extended the interim bail of YouTuber Yasir Shami till June 6 in connection with a case of video leak of late anchorperson Dr Aamir Liaquat’s, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court adjourned the hearing of bail application of co-accused Yasir Shami due to absence of Federal Investigation Agency prosecutor.
The lawyer of the accused requested the court that the accused comes from Lahore and a later date should be given.
The accused’s counsel further requested the court that the bail of the accused should be confirmed.
Talking to media after hearing of case, famous YouTuber Yasir Shami said that he is also a journalist and he worked by adhering to my journalistic values.
“I blurred the video and then uploaded it,” he clarified.
He said that this is Amir Liaquat family’s property problem in which they had dragged him for nothing.
Earlier, former wife of Dr Aamir Liaquat Bushra Iqbal while talking to media said that they have been in the court since morning but the FIA prosecutor did not come.
She said it is unfortunate that the FIA is not taking the high-profile case seriously and FIA is requested to take this case seriously.
It is certain that the interim bail of the accused will be cancelled because there is no evidence for the bail of the accused and the accused are not entitled to bail.
Aamir Liaquat’s third wife Dania Shah also appeared in the court which adjourned the hearing until June 6 as all the parties could not be provided with copies of the case.
