An Iraq-returned man received $30,000 from a forex dealer in Karachi in return for exchanging Rs5 million, but the dollars were fake and the forex dealer to defraud the overseas Pakistani of his hard-earned money, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Steel Town Police Station on Tuesday arrested two accused dealers who gave fake US dollars amounting to $15,000 to the man. However another two accused including a female culprit managed to flee in a car with the Rs5 million cash.
The victim told the police that he had a deal to receive $30,000 in exchange of five million Pakistani rupees, but he received a packet of $15,000 fake US currency.
The police arrested the two accused and launched further investigation into the matter. The police said that their teams were looking for the other two accused.
