Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department in Punjab said on Tuesday that dengue fever claimed the lives of four more patients in Lahore while another patient died each in Nowshera city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In Punjab, 149 people were infected with dengue fever inducing 106 in metropolis Lahore.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said that latest deaths by dengue rose the toll to 126 in the province.
He said that the anti-dengue team discarded dengue larvae from 282 indoor and outdoor places in Punjab.
He urged citizens to keep safety measures to combat dengue fever and keep their environment clean.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one patient lost its battle against deadly dengue in Nowshera while 97 new cases including 64 in Peshawar and death toll in the province reached 10. However, another 45 patients were also recovered from the dengue fever in KP.
In Karachi, another patient died in port city Karachi that rose death toll to four in the month of November. Another 29 cases of dengue fever patients were reported from Karachi as well.
