According to the police sources, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) eliminated a wanted terrorist during a raid on a hideout at the intersection of Naurang and Ghoriwala police stations in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The terrorist had opened fire upon seeing the police party. He was killed, however, in retaliatory fire by the CTD.
The deceased was identified as Waheedullah alias Usama. He was wanted by police in cases of terrorism. The CTD also recovered weapons from him.
In Sahiwal, the CTD arrested a suspected terrorist from Mai Wali Masjid on Aara Tala Road.
Banned books, hate pamphlets and 9mm pistol were recovered from the accused.
“The terrorist belongs to the banned organisation Daesh,” the CTD said.
