Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected three pivotal development projects in Lahore and advised the authorities to complete these initiatives within a deadline, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the details, CM Naqvi visited the under-construction projects of the Walton Road, Cavalry Underpass and Ghoda Chowk Flyover.
After completing his visits, CM Naqvi talked to media persons and said the Upgradation and Remodeling of Walton Road at six locations will be completed with a budget of Rs 9 billion. He also announced a December 31 deadline for the completion of the project from Center Point to Walton Road.
CM Naqvi told the media that the Cavalry Underpass will hopefully be completed in the next four to five days while the Ghoda Chowk Flyover is expected to be operational by December 7.
Beyond Lahore, Chief Minister Naqvi outlined a series of essential projects across Punjab and told the media that the Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 and Band Road Controlled Access initiatives are underway and will be completed in January.
He said the Gujranwala Expressway is slated for completion in January, alongside progress in Gujranwala University and the inauguration of the Gujranwala Children's Hospital. He added that the Gujranwala Children's Hospital, starting with 100 beds, is set to double its capacity to 200 beds by January.
Naqvi said DPS Gujranwala was accommodating only 6,000 students with its capacity but now they have planned to expand for an additional 1,000 students.
Answering a query, CM Naqvi emphasized the government's role in apprehending suspects and presenting evidence, with the final decision resting in the hands of the judiciary.
During the visit to Walton Road, CM Naqvi issued orders to the administration and police to reopen shops which were closed by the authorities due to security reasons.
CM Naqvi also instructed the Lahore Central Business District Development Authority to enhance greenery around ongoing projects in the city.
