A Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader was killed and another three persons sustained injuries in a blast in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
JUI leader and former MNA Maulana Jamaluddin condemned the blast and called upon authorities to adopt measures to protect the people, saying:
“Such strikes can't shatter the JUI resolve. Tribal districts have no government and no administration.
"Everything is happening under the nose of state organs.
"Security agencies are responsible for protecting the life and property of the people.
"Our workers are being martyred. We are carrying the bodies, but security agencies are not heeding.
"We urged security agencies to fulfil their responsibilities and protect the people."
