The Supreme Court Wednesday allowed a chamber appeal against the objections raised by the Registrar's Office on a petition seeking to stop the repatriation of foreign nationals, especially Afghan citizens, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court has ordered that the case be heard in an open court on November 20.
The chamber appeal was heard by Justice Yahya Afridi, who issued a written order stating that the objections of the Registrar's Office were of a legal nature and should be examined by the court.
The petition was filed by Farhatullah Babar and others, who argued that the repatriation of foreign nationals violated their fundamental rights and international obligations.
