Pakistan finally launched its first-ever environment-friendly electric car at IDEAS 2024 exhibition which was held at Export Centre in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dewan Motors Director Kashif Riaz claimed that after battery charging, the electric car will cover a distance of 200 kilometers. He said that only Rs700 will be spent as expenditure for travel of 200 kilometers.
He further said that people were fed-up with sky-rocketing price of petroleum products so they can now avail facility of electric car.
He said that introductory price of the car is only Rs39,99,000 and 40-horse power with engine of 660CC capacity.
Kashif Riaz said that imported lithium batteries were used in electric cars, while experts said that huge quantity of lithium were dumped in Pakistan and if we start to manufacture lithium batteries in Pakistan the original price of electric vehicle will be decreased further.
