Police and Pakistan Rangers on Saturday arrested seven terrorists belonging to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) from Old Golimar area of Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources said that police and Pakistan Rangers conducted a joint operation in Old Golimar area after receiving credible intelligence report about presence of terrorists.
The arrested terrorists were identified as Sabir, Walid, Adnan, Faisal, Mohammad Fahim and Ehsan Pathan.
Police and Rangers team recovered eight 9mm pistols, 550 bullets, 16 mobile phones, 2700 grams Tanzania, and 1280 grams of ice, 4 WiFi devices, one motorcycle and currency from their possession.
During interrogation, the terrorists admitted their affiliation with banned BLA and their involvement in various criminal activities and their financial support to banned BLA.
The arrested terrorists belonged to Kashif Dada, Naeem Dada, Kamal and Kashif Sindhu groups.
All the arrested terrorists were wanted by police as different FIRs were registered against them. They were handed-over to police for further legal proceedings.
