Weather in central and Southern Punjab including Lahore, Pakpattan and Fort Abbas Saturday turned cold after receiving the first rain of winter.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the temperature in central and southern Punjab areas dropped at 18 degrees Celsius after the rain and hails.
Intermittent rains continued with winds blowing in different parts of Lahore. The maximum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius in Lahore city.
Humidity in the air in Lahore city was recorded at 98 per cent while the winds were blowing at a speed of 34 kilometres per hour.
Heavy rain was received in different parts of Lahore including Krishan Nagar, Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, Sanat Nagar, Liberty, Jail Road, Main Boulevard Gulberg, Qazafi Stadium, Bilal Gunj, Sanda, and Data Darbar.
City areas of Nowshera Virkaan received heavy rains with strong winds while weather turned cold in Depalpur, Haveli Lakha, Pakpattan, Sahiwal and other suburb areas after heavy rains and hails.
Fort Abbas city and suburb areas of South Punjab also received the first rain of winter on Saturday. Due to heavy rains and hailstorms in the area, formers expressed fear of ruining their crops.
