Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has visited the home of TikToker Sobia Munir located inside Pindi Rajputan locality in Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore to personally deliver second cheque of loan granted to her under ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar” Scheme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During her visit on Tuesday, Maryam Nawaz reviewed the construction work of the walls of 3-marla house.
Sobia Munir become emotional after seeing the Chief Minister at her home. Maryam Nawaz hugged her and congratulated her on construction of her own house. Her daughters Tayyaba and Ayesha presented bouquets to the chief minister.
Maryam Nawaz presented her cheque of second installment of loan under “Apni Chat Apna Ghar” scheme.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed to provide her all necessary furniture for domestic use as a gift.
Talking to Sobia Munir, the Chief Minister said that she must focus on education of her daughters and assured her that Government of Punjab will bear all the expenses of their education.
Maryam Nawaz said that her father Nawaz Sharif is very excited as he listened about construction of her own house and asked her to convey his best wishes and prayers to Sobia Munir.
Maryam Nawaz said that she is feeling so happy to see construction of her house. She is unable to express her feelings.
Maryam Nawaz said that own house is basic right of every citizen and we are not obliging her instead she fulfilled her responsibilities.
Sobia Munir said that she purchased a plot but was unable to construct her own house due to lack of resources. Now Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz rescued her and converted her dream into reality, she added.
Sobia Munir said that she received first cheque on October 2, 2024 and started construction of her home immediately, she constructed drawing room, bedroom, attached bathroom while she herself drew the map of the kitchen.
She said that she applied for the loan on Portal after she noticed advertisement regarding CM “Apni Chat Apna Ghar” scheme and obtained the loan. In few months she will become owner of a house.
Maryam Nawaz lauded the efforts of workers who are taking part in the construction work of her house.
Sobia Munir who is a single mother is working in an event management team as decorator.
Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari, Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar, Secretary Planning Asadullah Khan, Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood, Director-General PHATA Saif Anwar Cheema and other high officials were also present on the occasion.
