Indian actress Raveena Tandon took to Twitter to urge that it is high time for a clean-up to happen within the film fraternity.
In her tweet, she demanded that the guilty, the users, the dealers and the suppliers should be punished. Her tweet comes at a time when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is actively probing a drug nexus in Bollywood.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “It was high time for clean-up to happen. Very welcome! Will help our young/future generations. Start from here, surely, proceed to all sectors. Uproot it from its core. Punish the guilty, users, the dealers/suppliers. The profiting Big Guys on the take, who give it a blind eye and ruin people (sic).”
Earlier, the NCB had arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik in the drug probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Their judicial custody has been extended till October 6.
Meanwhile, the NCB will soon send summons to Deepika Padukone after her name cropped up in the drug probe too. Apart from Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh's names have also come up in the case. They will also be summoned for questioning in the case.
Rhea Chakraborty is currently in Byculla jail for allegedly procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging dead at his Mumbai home on June 14. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the case. On the work front, Raveena Tandon will be seen in KGF Chapter 2, alongside South Indian actor Yash and Sanjay Dutt.
