The main left-wing party in the country—the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has started preparations for the next general elections and demanded applications from candidates for the national and provincial assemblies till April 30.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said in the light of the decision of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) chaired by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in January, applications are being invited from the candidates.
Kundi said it was decided in CEC that by selecting the candidates in time and they will be allowed to start their election campaign in their constituencies.
He said those who want party tickets should send their applications to the President of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) at the address of Bilawal House Karachi or Central Secretariat House No 1 Street 85 G6 / 4 Old Embassy Road Islamabad.
The PPP leader said a draft of Rs40,000 for MNA and Rs30,000 for MPA should be submitted along with the application. He added that after April 30, the relevant committee will make a decision and finalize the names of the PPP ticket holders.
