An ambulance driver shot dead in firing between robbers and police in Harappa area of Sahiwal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The Harappa police were firing while chasing the motorcycle-riding robbers when an ambulance driver named Zahoor came under the fire.
The motorcycle-riding bandits jumped off the motorcycle and fled, hiding in the nearby crops.

Meanwhile, a police constable and a passerby injured in firing by dacoits in Pattoki.
According to police, two robbers were robbing a citizen in front of a private bank at the Multan Road area of Pattoki police station city.
The police said the cops on patrol arrived on the spot and the robbers started firing as a result a constable named Ali Jan and a passer-by named Imran received serious bullet injuries during firing by robbers.
Moreover, the robbers snatched the official rifle from the injured policeman and fled, said the police.
The injured policeman and passer-by were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pattoki.
Later, the injured policeman Ali Jan was shifted to Lahore Jinnah Hospital in view of his serious condition after first aid, police said.
Police said that after the incident, a heavy contingent of police blockaded the entrances and exits of the city and started a search operation in the city.
