Punjabi superstar Diljit and Lollywood dimple queen Hania Aamir's much-anticipated movie 'Sardaar Ji 3' has been facing calls for a boycott following the terror attack in the Jammu and Kashmir area of Pahalgam, which killed 26 tourists.
The film has officially wrapped up filming and will hit theatres on June 27.
Dosanjh took to his Instagram and shared the news with his fans, posting a series of pictures of himself posing next to a motorcycle, clad in a leather jacket and denim, radiating his signature swagger.
“Sardaar Ji 3 releasing 27th June. Finally, shoot finish ho geya. Sari team ne baut mehnat kiti aa. Baba bhaag lavey. Milde an theaters ch! BOOOOOOO… Main tan dar gi!” wrote Diljit, in his usual fun-filled tone.
The original Sardaar Ji, released in 2015, marked a breakthrough in Punjabi cinema as one of its first fantasy horror comedies. Directed by Rohit Jugraj, the film starred Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, and Mandy Takhar, and received massive box office success for its unique plot and comic timing.
The film followed Jaggi, a ghostbuster summoned to London to drive away a mischievous ghost, only to fall in love with her, setting the stage for a blend of romance and supernatural chaos.
Following its success, Sardaar Ji 2 was released in 2016, featuring Diljit in a triple role alongside Monica Gill and Sonam Bajwa. This sequel focused on a farmer who lands in unexpected trouble after migrating abroad to save his village from financial doom.
While fans eagerly await Sardaar Ji 3, Diljit’s recent critically acclaimed performance in Amar Singh Chamkila continues to make waves.
He will next appear in Punjab ’95, a historical drama based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, co-starring Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky.
