Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry Tuesday warned India against any adventure in Afghanistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Islamabad has been in touch with the authorities in Kabul and kept an eye on rapid changes in Afghanistan in wake of the Taliban takeover after the US troops pullout plan, he told the media.

Pakistan has been playing its due role in efforts for lasting peace in Afghanistan and regional prosperity, he said.

The federal minister urged the international community to play its due role in restraining India from cashing in on the uncertain situation.

He said Pakistan extended help to thousands of foreigners for their safe evacuation from Afghanistan.

The world leaders heaped praise on the Pakistan leadership for securing the safe return of foreigners from the war-torn state after the Taliban takeover last week.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Danish premier Mette Frederiksen and UK Prime Minister phoned PM Imran Khan and expressed their gratitude for aiding diplomatic staff's safe evacuation.
