The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday adjourned the petition against the nomination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in the Quetta lawyer murder case due to the absence of the complainant’s lawyer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A three-member SC bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial, conducted the hearing. Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail were part of the bench.
The bench adjourned the case hearing due to the non-appearance of the complainant’s counsel, stating that the next hearing will be held after the summer vacations.
The apex court also retained its interim order barring the authorities from arresting the PTI chairman.
Latif Khosa, lawyer for the PTI chairman, had appeared before the court.
