Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill on Saturday disappeared from a VVIP room of Services Hospital, where he is being treated for his respiratory issues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The former special assistant to PTI chairman Imran Khan was admitted to Service Hospital on Dec 7 after he complained of difficulty in breathing due to a chest infection.
The hospital sources said that Shahbaz Gill disappeared from the facility without informing the management. After failing to find him in the hospital, the Registrar issued an Absence Report in this regard. The sources asked how can one go out in a deteriorated health condition. It is also feared that he has been arrested by the law enforcement agency as he is required in different cases.
This is not the first time that the PTI stalwart has been hospitalized, earlier in the month of September, Imran Khan’s Chief of Staff was shifted to the PIMS Hospital after his health condition deteriorated in the Adiala Jail.
Pertinent to note, the PTI leader has been facing a flurry of cases since his controversial comments on a private TV channel.
In the first week of December, another first information report (FIR) was registered in Karachi against Gill for inciting the public against a state institution.
A citizen, Muhammad Saeed, lodged the FIR against Gill at the Brigade police station in the metropolis.
As per the FIR, during an address, held former army chief Gen (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa responsible for having PTI Senator Azam Swati stripped and tortured in custody.
He is being required by the police of Balochistan also, thus it is assumed that he has escaped from the hospital to avoid arrest.
