The Lahore High Court has disposed of a case against First Lady Bushra Bibi’s son directing the petitioner to get bail for the accused.
High Court Judge Justice Muhammad Anwarul Haq heard the petition filed by one Muhammad Hassan.
The LHC had earlier summoned Bushra Bibi’s son, Ibrahim Maneka, on February 24 in a case of alleged kidnapping of two persons in connivance with the police.
On Monday, Ibrahim Maneka appeared before the court of Justice Anwarul Haq and narrated his side of the story. The police also presented a report saying the two accused were arrested because they were wanted in a dishonesty case registered against them on February 18.
After reviewing the report, the judge disposed of the petition asking the applicant to get bail for the accused.
Petitioner Muhammad Hasan alleged that Ibrahim Maneka held up his two brothers and demanded Rs15 million as a ransom for their release. He claimed one of his brothers Ejaz Ahmad and Ibrahim were partners in a real estate business. He continued: “An amount of Rs1 million including profit has been provided to Ibrahim. We are paying for the repair of Ibrahim’s luxurious vehicle after a road crash but that accident was too blamed on Ejaz. A rented vehicle is also arranged but Ibrahim demanded Rs15 million,” he added.
After hearing the arguments on Monday, the judge disposed of the case.
Ibrahim Maneka is one of the five children the First Lady has from her first marriage with Khawar Maneka.
