Ali Safina has made a hilarious jab at Indian lyricist Javed Akhtar in the wake of his controversial remarks about Pakistan at Faiz Festival. Reacting to Javed Akhtar’s hurtful remakes with humour, the actor put forth an on-point piece of poetry in Javed Akhtar’s honour. He wrote:
Javed Akhtar k paish e khidmat aik sher..
“Lafzon mein zehar kaha se lata ho
Kya roz saanp fr ka k khatay ho”

On the other hand, Pakistani singer Ali Zafar is on people’s radar for hosting a dinner in Javed Akhtar’s honor following the Faiz festival. Several irked celebrities are slamming Javed Akhtar and calling into question the self-respect of those who cheered him.
Zara Shahjahan, a close friend of Ali Zafar, expressed her outrage on Instagram about how the so-called elite showered Javed with immense respect and happily cheered for him despite him 'insulting' the country while being on its soil.
Zara wrote, “He was not just allowed to come to Pakistan, he was allowed to shit on Pakistan and then he Lahori “fake” while hosted a party for him where hey cried on his knees.”

In the meantime, Ali Zafar took to his Instagram handle to address the backlash. He clarified his position by saying that he was not present at the festival, nor was he aware of what was said until the clip went viral on social media the next day.
He continued by saying that, as a proud Pakistani, he had been hurt, and he acknowledged how the nation had suffered and was still suffering as a result of these accusations.
