Reham Khan, a renowned journalist, filmmaker and ex-wife of former Pakistan prime miniter Imran Khan, is getting ready to venture into the world of cinema once again with her upcoming Pakistani-Punjabi film called “Cheema, Chattha, and Bajwa.”
The movie will be about Punjabis who have settled abroad in Canada and the UK.
The journalist aims for her film to showcase the rich culture of the Pakistani Punjabi diaspora, similar to how the Indian Punjabi diaspora has spread its cultural influence globally.
There is no tentative release date as of yet, but “Cheema, Chattha, and Bajwa” will most likely be an international release for Pakistani cinema.
The lady further revealed that the casting process is still ongoing as they’re searching for the “perfect Pakistani Punjabi hero,” who is around 26–27 years of age.
In case readers are not aware, the hit 2016 film “Janaan” was actually produced by Reham Khan. Starring Armeena Rana Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Ali Rehman Khan, Hania Aamir, and Ajab Gul. That film had an impressive box office run.
It is worth mentioning that Reham's personal life has also been in the spotlight.
After tying the knot with Bilal in December of last year, Reham Khan's marital journey has piqued public curiosity.
Her previous marriage to Ijaz Rehman in 1993, which ended in divorce in 2005, and her subsequent union with former Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2014, followed by a divorce a year later, have been a topic of public interest.
