Former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that he fears that the country may face a ‘major crisis’ due to the rulers’ incompetence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a telephonic conversation with PPP Punjab General Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad on Sunday, Asif Zardari said “The country is facing numerous threats and the rulers might commit a major blunder,” he added.
The PPP co-chairman maintained that it has become very important to send this government home. “There may be a major disaster in the country due to these inept rulers,” he added.
He said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will use all its options one by one. “The next few months are very crucial for the political future of the country,” he opined.
Zardari the opposition will no more allow the government to hide behind the coronavirus pandemic. “They could neither purchase vaccine nor they could help the corona-hit people except for the Benazir Income Support Programme,” he added.
He recalled despite the global economic meltdown in 2008 the then PPP government worked hard to enhance country’s exports from $19 billion to $26 billion.
“We doubled the country’s revenue and raised government employees’ salaries by 125 percent. Pensions were raised by 100 percent,” he said and added “Today, country’s all economic indicators are negative due to rulers incompetence.”
“I had already said that these rulers will fall on their own. They all need a last push. The PPP with the help of the PDM will sent this incompetent and failed bunch of rulers home,” he maintained.
Asif Zardari though the PTI government will try to dent the PDM from every angle but the Opposition’s alliance will stay intact.
