Making some interesting revelations in the murder case of ex-Pakistan’s envoy’s daughter Noor Mukaddam, the investigation officer (IO) told the court in Islamabad on Monday that there were no blood stains on main suspect Zahir Jaffer’s pants at the time of his arrest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani is hearing the case.

All suspects, including Zahir, were present in the courtroom. Responding to the questions of Zahir’s counsel Iskander Zulqurnain, Abdus Sattar, the IO, went on to say that even main suspect’s fingerprints could not be shown on the dagger.

The IO said footages from the CCTV cameras installed near the crime scene could also not be obtained.

Abdus Sattar told the court that when he arrived at the crime scene, Shaukat Mukaddam, Noor’s father, was already present there along with his family members.

He said that Noor’s body was shifted to a mortuary from the house in sector F-7 of the federal capital on July 20, 2021 “Zahir was first remanded in police custody by the court on the following day, on July 21, with the instructions that he be produced again day after tomorrow (July 23),” he elaborated.

The IO also informed that statements of the people living nearby the crime scene were also not recorded.

Noor Mukaddam had been brutally murdered in July last year by her boyfriend Zahir Jaffer who was reportedly infuriated over her refusal to marry him.

The incident had spread outrage across the country, and the people were appalled at the audacity of Zahir who killed Noor after repeatedly stabbing her with a dagger.
