A major reshuffle of high-ranked officers in Punjab police is expected in the new caretaker setup in the province.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, higher officials of Punjab Police including Regional Police Officers (RPO), District Police Officers (DPO), and even Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Headquarters to be will be transferred.
DIG Headquarters Rai Babar will be transferred and appointed as RPO. As for the new DIG headquarter, Dr Abid has been nominated.
Inaam Wahid, Sadiq Dogar, and Shariq Kamal are expected to be appointed as RPOs whereas, Humayun Bashir Tarar, Sohail Chaudhry, and others, after being transferred from the federation to Punjab, are also expected to be appointed as RPOs.
For the DIG headquarters and DIG investigation, Sohail Sukhera and Dr Abid will be interviewed along with the DIG Dr Haider Ashraf, Sohail Chaudhry, Rai Babar, Ahsan Younas, Maqsood-ul-Hassan, Syed Khurram Ali Shah, Afzal Mahmood Butt, Shariq Kamal Siddiqui, Sarfraz Alpa, Sajjad Munj and Athar Waheed who will also be interviewed for the posts of the RPOs.
The interviews will be held by CM Punjab, Chief Secretary Punjab, and Inspector General Punjab for the DIG and RPO positions.
