Several flights to and from Pakistan were affected by fog on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The visibility at Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport was reduced to 0100 meters in the morning.
According to the Lahore airport authorities, the visibility limit was expected to increase to 350 meters after two hours, but the situation remained uncertain. As a result, some flights were diverted to Karachi, while others were delayed.
Among the diverted flights were AirSail SIF 743 from Dammam to Lahore and PIA 186 from Sharjah to Lahore.
Among the delayed flights were Gulf Air 784 from Bahrain to Peshawar, Gulf Air 785 from Peshawar to Bahrain, Qatar Airways QR 600 from Doha to Peshawar, Qatar Airways 601 from Peshawar to Doha, Air Arabia G9554 from Sharjah to Peshawar, Air Arabia G9555 from Peshawar to Sharjah, Emirates 636 from Dubai to Peshawar, Emirates 637 from Peshawar to Dubai, Air Arabia G9864 from Ras Al Khaimah to Peshawar, Air Arabia G9865 from Peshawar to Ras Al Khaimah, Fly Jinnah 9865 from Karachi to Peshawar and Fly Jinnah 9P866 from Peshawar to Karachi.
The passengers were advised to check the flight status before leaving for the airport and to contact their airlines for further information.
