Irked over the failure of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to devise a strategy to prevent incidents of electrocution, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has decided to issue a show-cause notice to the power distribution company, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
NEPRA, which has investigated the incidents of electrocution, is of the view that the arrangements made by the QESCO to keep people safe from such incidents are inadequate.
Furthermore, it has shown concern over the company’s failure to disclose the exact number of its PCC poles during the last one and a half years.
According to the NEPRA, QESCO’s ground performance is ‘zero’.
