Showing strong displeasure over the comments made by former foreign minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his speeches recently, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday asked him not to cross limits while expressing his views about the performance of the PML-N governments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference, she said people were not interested at all in listening to his comments against his political opponents. “What people like to listen to are solutions to their problems. What do you mean when you say that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif after becoming the country’s prime minister for the fourth time will take revenge from the PTI,” she asked furiously.

“It seems that perhaps Bilawal has not seen schools, colleges and universities built by the PML-N governments in Punjab. It seems that he has not seen Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI) in Lahore,” she said, and added, “PPP chairman has come to Punjab only recently. What is different that he wants to do in Punjab.”

The people of Karachi, she went on to say, also had the right to have metro buses and orange trains.

Marriyum reminded Bilawal that PPP too remained part of the coalition government that took over after the ouster of the PTI government following the passage of no-trust motion in April 2022. “Your party is equally responsible for the decisions we took. Because we took those decisions with consensus.”

At the same time, however, Marriyum said that the PML-N leaders had spent a good time with Bilawal in the coalition government. “Therefore, he is not expected to use derogatory and insulting language against our leadership,” she concluded.
