Expressing gratitude to senior politician Javed Hashmi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has openly acknowledged Hashmi's unwavering commitment to truth and principles, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media within the confines of Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, Qureshi delved into various aspects of the political landscape.
Qureshi addressed Bilawal Bhutto, raising concerns about the alleged revenge politics orchestrated by Nawaz Sharif.
He sought clarification on Bilawal's decision to take on the role of Minister of Foreign Affairs in Shehbaz Sharif's government, prompting questions about political allegiances within the Bhutto legacy.
Qureshi further scrutinized Bilawal's claim of being the heir of the Bhutto legacy while concurrently aligning with the political legacy of Zia through collaborations within the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Turning attention to the election strategy of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Qureshi asserted that the party had made sacrifices, conceding its interests for a handful of seats.
Expressing surprise at IPP's dual policy, he highlighted Jahangir Tareen's contradictory stance—seeking assistance from PML-N in Multan while opposing the same party in Lodhran.
Revealing IPP's election maneuvers, Qureshi disclosed, "IPP submitted nomination papers for 51 seats, making seat adjustments with PML-N on 7 seats while canceling the rest."
PTI vice chairman continued that the cipher was only for the Foreign Secretary to see and the National Security Council recognized political interference.
“After the decoding of the cipher, Imran Khan directed that all the parliamentary leaders should be briefed. The Foreign Secretary also briefed all the parliamentary leaders on the cipher,” Qureshi maintained.
Lauding Javed Hashmi's statement in favor of Imran Khan from the platform of the Pakistan Muslim League is a big deal.
The former foreign minister thanked Javed Hashmi for his announcement to initiate the campaign for the release of Imran Khan from the platform of the Pakistan Muslim League.
