Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Dr Athar Waheed on Friday announced complete ban on entry of oil tankers in the city during day timings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CTO directed personnel of traffic police deputed at Shahdara, Saggian, Bund Road, Lari Adda to take stern action against violators.
He specially directed to enhance monitoring on routes from Railway Station, Babu Sabu, Raiwind and Kahna.
The CTO ordered to adopt zero tolerance policy against violators of traffic rules.
He further directed to anyone who found involved in violation of traffic rules should be dealt as per prescribed laws.
