Abdul Raheem Niazi – who is the son of PTI MNA Abdul Majeed Niazi – was caught in more trouble after being released in the Ahmed Ali Aulakh – a provincial assembly member of PML-N – torture case as he was booked for aerial firing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
As the younger Niazi reached his native area of Karor Lal Esan – a tehsil of Layyah district, a rally was organised to celebrate his release. But the things soon got ugly as there was celebratory aerial firing by the participants who openly brandished firearms.
It made the local police to come into action, as they registered a case over the open show of firearms, aerial firing and illegal fireworks. However, the accused managed to flee the scene.
The PTI MNA’s son was previously arrested for torturing Aulakh – the opposition MPA elected from the same area of Layyah. They attacked the rival at the dera (guesthouse) of a landlord when he was sitting there discussing local issues in August 2019.
A disturbing video of the incident had gone viral on social media in which it can be seen that Majeed Niazi and his son arriving at the scene in SUVs and then thrashing Aulakh brutally. The PML-N lawmaker had received multiple injuries, including the broken ribs.
This attack was a result of an exchange of harsh words some days back when the two public representatives entered a dispute for taking credit for the construction of a dyke along the Indus River. However, the video of that altercation cannot be posted here because of the filthy language used during the incident.
