Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir said on Saturday that out of total 387 water filtration plants in the province that had been dysfunctional for a long time, 315 had been made functional again, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The minister said the remaining plants would be made functional by July 10.
He went on to say that the purpose of making these plants functional was to ensure the provision of clean drinking water to people.
He informed that deputy commissioners oversaw the entire process.
Mir said not a single penny from the national exchequer was spent for the purpose.
He informed that four million people would benefit from this step of the provincial government.
