Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, speaking in the National Assembly’s budget session, Sunday voiced strong criticism of the newly proposed budget, labelling it as anti-people and failing to meet the aspirations of the Pakistani populace.

"Do our people deserve this anti-people budget?" Aseefa questioned, emphasizing that the budget does not offer relief to the common people, farmers, or workers.

She highlighted the severe 20-hour load-shedding in Sindh, terming it as a punishment in the scorching heat.

Aseefa Bhutto pointed out the lack of provisions for farmers, workers, and the poor, arguing that the budget does not represent the needs of the people.

She expressed her disappointment, stating, "There is nothing in this budget for farmers, workers, and the poor."

She urged the government to prioritize the welfare of the common man and the prosperity of the nation.

"We have to move forward for the relief of the common man. We have to strengthen the farmer," she asserted, noting the severe damage farmers have faced due to floods and import problems.

She also addressed the critical issues of inflation and unemployment, which are at their highest levels in the country's history.

She called for concrete steps to provide facilities for the poorest citizens and to work towards the nation's prosperity. "We have to work for the prosperity of Pakistan and the nation," she concluded.
