The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to consult PTI founder Imran Khan about whether to extend its support to Operation Azm-e-Istehkam while the Awami National Party (ANP) has opposed the plan all together, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The TV channel, quoting its sources, said KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will meet incarcerated Imran Khan for consultations on the new operation.
Meanwhile, ANP Central President Aimal Wali has openly opposed the new military operation, saying it was Imran Khan brought back the terrorists.
Aimal Wali said before launched such an operation the State of Pakistan must explain why the National Action Plan was implemented?
“Terrorists were brought back by the previous government with the approval of Imran Khan and General Faiz Hameed. Who were punished for ‘resettling’ the terrorists?” he asked, saying the coalition government along with PTI was also responsible for it.
