Five people including father and son died while nine others seriously injured in two different road accidents in Shakargarh and Khairpur on Monday, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
In the first incident a father and his five-year-old son died on the spot when a speedy truck hit their motorcycle near Kot Diji Mehmood Shah Stop in Khairpur.
The deceased father was later identified as Khadim Phulpotto and son Shakeel. Soon after receiving the report of the incident, police team reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies of father and son to Civil Hospital.
The driver along with truck escaped from the scene after the accident.
Three die in Shakargarh collision
Three persons including women and a trader Tasawar Kaka were killed and five other persons received critical injuries when two vehicles collided with each other while trying to safe a motorcycle in Diyalpur near Noor Kot Shakargarh.
Soon after receiving the report of the incident Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Shakargarh.
Later the serious injured persons were referred to a hospital in Lahore.
Meanwhile, Four persons were critically injured when a tractor which was loaded with bricks collided with a car near Dhamtal area on Narowal-Zafarwal Road.
The car was completely damaged during the collision. The ill-fated car was going to Lahore from Narowal.
Rescue team reached the site and shifted the serious injured persons to hospital.
