The Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) has issued a notification for the transfer and posting of 22 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) across various districts of the province.
The reshuffling affects officers in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Jhelum, and several other regions.
According to the notification, Mahmood Ahmed has been appointed as DSP New Town Rawalpindi, while Muhammad Ashraf Tabassum has been posted as DSP Gojra, Toba Tek Singh. Sanaullah will now serve as DSP Sadar Rajanpur, and Syed Farrukh Azhar has been designated as Traffic Officer Sadar Faisalabad. In Faisalabad, Azhar Abbas has been assigned to Batala Colony, while Aftab Sabir takes charge as DSP Samundari.
Other significant postings include Ehsan Zafar as DSP Sadar Sheikhupura, Munir Ahmad as DSP Pir Mahal, Toba Tek Singh, and Riyaz Ahmed as DSP Badar Ghar, Nankana Sahib. In Bhakkar, Zafar Iqbal has been appointed DSP Kallar Kot, whereas Muhammad Ikram will now serve as DSP Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum. Sarfraz Hussain Tarar has been transferred to the Special Branch, Layyah.
In Rawalpindi, Naseer Ahmed Khan and Waseem Ahmed have been posted to PC Battalion 1, while Nadeem Malik takes charge as DSP CRO Rawalpindi. Additionally, Imran Saeed has been appointed as DSP Headquarters Narowal, and Fazal Ahmad as DSP Investigation ROC TD Gujranwala.
In South Punjab, Javed Ahmed has been transferred to Sadar Bahawalnagar, while Akmal Basra has been posted as DSP Chishtian, Bahawalnagar. Muhammad Yunus has been appointed ADIG Bahawalpur, and Qadir Bashir will now serve in PC Battalion Seven, Lahore. Lastly, Mohammad Nadeem Tariq has been posted as DSP Headquarters, Special Branch Sheikhupura.
These transfers are part of routine administrative changes aimed at enhancing law enforcement efficiency across the province.
