Xiaomi has officially launched the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2, a next-generation wearable designed to offer an enhanced audio experience and a sleeker, more comfortable design. The latest smart glasses will be available for crowdfunding from March 26 in China at a special introductory price of CNY 999 (approximately $138).
Compared to their predecessor, the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 have undergone multiple refinements. Xiaomi has slimmed down the temple arms to just 5mm, making the frame 30% thinner than before. Weighing only 27.6 grams, the glasses feature an improved weight distribution system, reducing pressure on the nose for prolonged comfort.
Additionally, Xiaomi has reinforced the frame with a piano steel ultra-flexible hinge, which the company claims can withstand over 15,000 bends while maintaining durability. The frame also features a quick-release mechanism, allowing users to swap lenses effortlessly.
Audio performance has been a major focus of this upgrade. The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 come with an advanced four-microphone array, optimized for better noise reduction and enhanced volume levels.
Xiaomi has also introduced a one-touch voice recording feature, accompanied by a notification light to address privacy concerns.
Battery life is another standout feature of the new smart glasses. Xiaomi claims the wearable can offer up to 12 hours of continuous music playback, with a standby time of 12 days on a full charge. A 10-minute quick charge can reportedly provide four hours of listening time. The glasses also come with an IP54 rating, ensuring dust and water resistance for added durability.
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 will be available in five stylish frame options, including metal aviator, hybrid browline, classic Boston, hybrid aviator, and deep-space titanium. While Xiaomi has not yet announced global availability, the launch of these smart glasses signals a growing interest in integrating wearable audio technology with fashion-forward design.
