Pakistani mountaineer Asad Ali Memon, stranded at Mount Everest in Nepal, has been evacuated and provided medical care, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
This was announced by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch in a statement issued in Islamabad on Wednesday.
In response to media queries regarding evacuation of the Asad Ali Memon, she said he is physically safe and is currently at a hotel in Lukla, a town near foots of Mount Everest.
The spokesperson said the Pakistani mountain climber will be brought home on the first available flight.
She said Pakistan's Embassy in Nepal is in contact with Asad Ali Memon and his handling agency.
