The garbage dumped by people in Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) planes during flights has earned so much notoriety that now a British firm, tasked with deep cleaning of the planes, has released its pictures on social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
It appears that the passengers view the PIA planes as garbage dumping points as trash is littered on the entire plane.
They seem oblivious to the fact that this creates a negative impression in the minds of foreigners.
The pictures released by the UK-based firm are of PK-9785, heading from Islamabad to London.
Sources have told 24News that such was the filthy state of the plane that even the passengers refused to board it before the plane left Islamabad for London.
Often there is a delay in the arrival and departure of flights due to the deep cleaning of the planes that has to be done before the take-off.
Aviation experts are of the view that passengers usually remain careful when they are onboard the flights operated by foreign airlines.
The national flag carrier has appealed to the passengers to keep its planes neat and clean.
