A delegation of Belarus led by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov has reached Islamabad while Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will arrive in Pakistan on Monday (tomorrow), diplomatic sources told 24NewsHD TV channel.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the guest on their arrival. More than 70 people are included in the delegation. Aleksandr Lukashenko is on a two-day visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. During the visit, the most important Pakistan-Belarus Trade Road Map 2027-2025 will be signed. Both countries will sign 4 MoUs in the fields of agriculture, trade, science and technology, industry and pharmaceuticals.
The two countries will consider finalizing plans to jointly produce electric vehicle buses. Promotion of cooperation in agricultural machinery and tractor manufacturing industry will also be discussed. During his visit, President Aleksandr Lukashenko will meet with President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He is also expected to meet with the Army Chief General Asim Munir.
Mutual trade, investment, security and defense cooperation, regional and global situation will be discussed in the meetings. The 7th meeting of the Pakistan-Belarus Joint Ministerial Commission was held during the visit in September 2024.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko will undertake an official visit to Pakistan from 25-27 November 2024. President Lukashenko will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and discuss areas of bilateral cooperation and engagement. Several Agreements and MoUs will also be signed during the visit.
