The second death anniversary of renowned comedian Ismail Tara is being observed today, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to the channel’s report, Ismail Tara was born in Karachi on November 16, 1949, and started his showbiz career in 1964 through a stage drama. He performed in his first drama when he was only 15 years old.
He also performed with legendary and seasoned late host Zia Mohiyuddin and also worked under the directions of Shoaib Mansoor and Anwar Maqsood in the famous drama series ‘Fifty Fifty’ in 1980, which provided him a breakthrough, and he reached the peak of his career.
Ismail Tara was recognised as one of the best actors of TV, films, and stage dramas.
He also performed on the silver screen and played various roles in different films. He won Nigar Awards five times during his showbiz career.
His famous dramas include Fifty Fity, Rubber Band, Yeh Zindagi Hai, One-Way Ticket, Delhi Colony, Ismail Time, and other stage dramas.
Ismail Tara died in Karachi at the age of 73 due to kidney disease.
