Smog has become a constant headache for the residents of Lahore and there is no relief in sight in the form of rain in the next few days as, with the AQI recorded at 360 on Sunday, the city was again on top of the world’s most polluted cities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The AQI over the Polo Ground in Cantonment was recorded at 702.

Similarly, it was 567 over Syed Maratab Ali Road, 445 over Valencia, 395 over Johar Town Block A, 394 over Ghazi Road Interchange, 537 over Pakistan Engineering Service and 368 over The Mall.

The Met Office predicted the maximum temperature to go up to 26 degrees Celsius later in the day.

On the other hand, heavy rain in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and adjoining areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Saturday turned the weather quite chilly.

Murree received the first rain of the winter season while light rain, with snow over the hills, was reported from different parts of the AJK and KP.

Similarly, a fresh spell of snow over the mountains in Naran and Kaghan in KP turned everything white.
