The federal government has decided to keep all public and private schools in the federal capital Islamabad closed on Monday keeping in view the protests led by the Pakistan Tereek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the Islamabad district administration, a notification regarding closure of schools will be issued shortly.
A spokesperson for the Islamabad administration said the decision has been taken keeping in view the prevailing law and order situation in the federal capital.
Also, the private schools association announced later in the evening that schools will remain closed due to the prevailing law and order situation. The announcement came from private schools association chief Abrar Ahmad Khan.
