Beleaguered Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani has hinted at sitting on the opposition benches after the claim of the no-trust motion movers of having achieved the required numbers in the provincial assembly to de-seat him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, the besieged CM wrote: “I have given authority to my group members of BAP and allies. The allies and BAP would decide whatever is best in the present context, In Sha Allah.
“And if PDM wins and makes government with the estranged (BAP) members, then we are ready to sit in the opposition.”
In another tweet, Kamal said: “Yesterday our whole Coalition met, sat and discussed in detail the whole situation. Later we did a BAP members' meeting too.”
He further thanked his supporters and wrote: “Allah is very kind and then I am thankful to ANP, PTI Balochistan chapter, BAP (our group), HDP, JWP who stood firm all the time and showed their trust in me. And I must say how quality people prevailed.”
He lamented that some people in their lust for power and greed are responsible for stalling development process in the province. He tweeted: “Passion for power and greed!! Loss in the provincial development will be entirely the responsibility of PDM, PTI and BAP some sensible and responsible people in the federal, BAP (Naraz group) and few mafias.
“I would suggest to Imran Khan to have a look around his people.”
It is pertinent to mention here that the no-trust motion backers claim to have attained support of 40 members while only a simple majority of 33 members is enough to overthrow the chief minister.
The session of 65-member Balochistan Assembly is scheduled to be held tomorrow in which voting on no-trust motion will be held to decide the fate of Mr Kamal.
