In a tragic incident, an uncontrolled dumper on Monday crushed several vehicles of the wedding procession killing seven people including the bride, his mother, and groom, reported 24News HD TV channel.
According to the details, a traffic accident took place near Tobar Valley on Khewra Choa Sidan Shah Road in Pind Dadan Khan area of Jhelum district, where the procession vehicle was crushed under the uncontrolled dumper.
According to the rescue sources, the wedding procession was returning from Chakwal to Khewra, when the baraat reached Tobar valley, a dumber with brake failure hit the convey and crushed the participants of the wedding sitting in many vehicles.
As a result, seven Baraati including the bride, his mother and groom were crushed to death on the spot while at least eight other people were injured seriously. The injured have been shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of some people is said to be critical.
According to the rescue sources, the accident occurred due to brake failure of the dumper, several vehicles were also hit by the impact of the uncontrolled dumper.
Rescue 1122 officials are present at the accident site while the local people are engaged in relief operations.
