Public service delivery check: CM visits Okara hospital, police station

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a visit to Okara District Headquarters Hospital late Monday.

The chief minister took a round of various departments and interacted with the patients and their attendants. MS, Okara deputy commissioner, DPO reached the hospital after the CM visit.

He inquired about the facilities being provided at the public health facility.

As a few people complained about the lack of medicines, the chief minister issued directives to pay the persons who bought medicine out of the hospital.

He stayed there for two hours, inspected the facility and issued directives to ensure better public service delivery.

He called the officials concerned and ordered them to prepare a revised trauma centre plan.

He issued directives to replace outdated machines in the dialysis centre.

Talking to the media, the chief minister praised the hospital management, saying the hospital administration is doing well.

Satisfying everyone is out of the question, he said adding that a couple of complaints were registered and and these were addressed too.

He said the district will have a medical college and the locals will get good news soon.

He vowed to take steps for the welfare of journalists.

Later, the chief minister visited a police station and praised Saddar DSP, SHO and other cops.

He interacted with the persons locked up at the police station too.

Following the tour of the police station, he left for the provincial capital.
