Lahore High Court has fixed a petition filed against 26th Constitutional amendment here on Thursday (tomorrow), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Lahore High Court Judge Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh will hear the petition of a citizen Muhammad Afzal Najmi who have moved the court against the amendment in Article 185(2)(d) in 26th Constitutional Amendments Act recently passed by the Parliament.
The Federal Government, Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly and others have been made parties in the petition.
The petitioner claims that rights given under the Constitution are not being granted to the citizens and the fundamental rights of the citizens are being violated. Therefore, the petitioner added, the court should issue an order to the government to implement the fundamental rights of the citizens.
