Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) took notice of the overtime of pilots and crew members and instructed Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to cut the duty hours of flight attendants and all cabin crew members, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CAA Director Flight Standard issued a notification in this regard, saying that the PIA committed multiple violations in the last seven months.
In 55 flights last year, PIA captain services were utilized for more than 12 hours which was a violation of international standard rule of 12 hours.
The aviation regulator said that these violations of international safety standards pose serious threats to aviation safety.
The notification reads that rules about cabin crew and captains' duties are very clear.
PIA spokesperson said that the national carrier received the letter from CAA and they are analyzing it.
