Lahore city received light rain Saturday morning which brought the mercury down turning the weather conditions enjoyable, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the Met Office, the moist currents are penetrating in upper parts of the country and westerly wave also affecting western parts of the country.
The weather office also forecast rain wind/thunderstorm in northeast Punjab, potohar region, Kashmir and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan today (Saturday).
Rains lashed parts of provincial metropolis Lahore including Township, Iqbal Town, Kalma Chowk, Garden Town, Gulberg, Canal Road, Green Town, Chungi Amar Sadhu, Muslim Town, Ichra, Dharampura and other areas.
Other parts of city that received rains include Gulshan Ravi, Chuburji, Saman Abad, Janaz Gah and Government Muhammadan Anglo Oriental College (MAO) College.

Friday's recorded highest maximum temperature’s (°C): Sibbi 41, Bhakkar, Sukkur and Rahim Yar Khan 40.
PDMA Alert
The Punjab PDMA said that heavy to very heavy rainfall expected over the upper catchment of River Sutlej during next 72 hours.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has informed that Scattered wind-thunderstorm/rain of moderate intensity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is expected over the upper catchment of River Sutlej.
Scattered wind-thunderstorm/rain of moderate intensity with isolated heavy falls is expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Indus, Jhelum, Chenab & Ravi along with Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad & Sahiwal Divisions.
Possible Impacts: The water level in the streams connected to rivers may soar.
PDMA advised precautionary measures: Identification and establishment of safe places/relief camps by the District/Municipal Administration on immediate basis.
The residents of most vulnerable areas should be shifted to temporary relief camps/safe places as and when required.
Necessary arrangements for provision of cooked food by District Administration should be ensured in relief camps.
All required machinery/ dewatering sets should be made available timely to avoid urban flooding.
In order to avoid epidemic diseases, health department should mobilize medical teams for provision of first aid to the affectees of urban flooding.
Necessary arrangements should be made to mitigate effects of heavy rain falls which may generate flash flooding in local nullahs / rivers.
In order to avoid rain water borne diseases, sprinkling of medicated spray in specified places should be ensured by the health department.
In order to avoid electric shock due to heavy rain, necessary arrangements by WAPDA authorities should be made on emergent basis under the intimation of this office.
Heavy rainfall may cause road blockage / closures, so concerned departments may ensure necessary arrangements well in time.
“All concerned authorities are advised to remain 'ALERT" and take all precautionary measures to avoid any loss / damage,” Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Punjab.
