The security agencies have busted an active extortionist group working for the proscribed Tahreek-i-Taliban Pakistan. The group members made startling revelations regarding their criminal activities during investigation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
In an intelligence-based operation, the security forces arrested some members of an active extortionist group who have made major revelations regarding their modus operandi of extortion during investigation.
The arrested members were providing support to the TTP in extortion in various ways for a long time.
The accused have also confirmed the presence of the TTP commanders in Afghanistan.
They revealed that TTP Commander Adul Razaq who is currently in Afghanistan used to give them instructions through WhatsApp.
The accused disclosed further that TTP Commander Abdul Razaq used to call people from Afghanistan for demanding extortion money by ordering videos of people’s houses and shops. He would threaten to kill or abduct them in case of non-payment of extortion money or delay.
It is to be noted that law enforcement agencies are taking serious measures to protect people and they are getting considerable success in the crackdown on TTP groups and extortion mafia.
